JR have recently updated the TAGS-01 Flybarless control system. New features include:

New Function: Pirouette Compensation - Pirouette Compensation operates effectively at all pirouette speeds, adding stability and precision to all phases of flight.

New Function: E-ring limiter - During 3D manoeuvres, when extreme aileron and elevator controls are combined, the E-ring function limits servo movement to avoid binding (jamming) of the swash plate. This eliminates damage to servos or rotor head linkages.

Current users of the TAGS-01 FBL system can update there systems to Version 2 by downloading the software update from the JR Propo website and installing it into there FBL unit, PLEASE NOTE that a G-Tune cable will be required and is available separately.

MEMS 3 Axis Gyro Sensor Control

The TAGS01 utilizes an advanced control algorithm with a wide dynamic range. This allows unmatched hovering stability combined with extreme manoeuvrability during 3D flight.

Direct Setup Method

The basic settings can be intuitively adjusted by using only the switches and dials, which are incorporated separately for each function, via the control unit. Further adjustment can be carried out via the transmitter like a conventional helicopter.

MEMS Sensor

Each axis utilises an advanced control algorithm with a wide dynamic range.

Digital Filter

A 32 bit high speed CPU reduces the effects of vibration by digitally processing all information from the sensors, to achieve incredibly stable flying characteristics.

Swash Mix Scan Function

The CCPM settings in the transmitter are recognized by the gyro during calibration. The CCPM settings are not changed during installation of the TAGS01.

G-Tune for TAGS01: Dedicated software and USB interface cable

It is possible to connect the TAGS01 to a PC for fine tuning and access to additional functionality. An additional dedicated USB interface cable and software will be required.

INFORMATION:

CAUTION: Note that analog servos cannot be used with the TAGS01. We highly recommend the following servos, or other JR DS or MP series high performance helicopter servos.

PRECAUTIONS: When using a 2-cell Li-Po battery as a power source, ensure your servos support this voltage (JR HV servos), or use a regulator to supply a voltage compatible with your servos (for example, the JR REG015 or equivalent).

If using high performance servos, please carefully consider your choice of power supply with regard to capacity and discharge capabilities.

If the receiver and servos are being powered from an electronic speed controller using a BEC system, please take care that the BEC is of sufficient current supply capacity.
